Worst gig I ever saw!

About three or so years ago, a drummer friend of mine and myself attended (for shits and giggles)the Jason Bonham Band gig in Columbia,SC.

Hands down the worst gig I ever saw! The first tune was "Rock and Roll" from his father's well known group.John Bonham was a unique drummer but,I don't know what happened to Jason.

They proceeded to play nothing but Led Zeppelin tunes while proclaming during the break that they were not a Led Zeppelin tribute band.

The lead singer(Charles West) threw out this sweaty towel that I was just so lucky [img]tongue.gif[/img] to pick up.After the gig,the lead singer told me that he was sorry that he threw the towel to me.He was trying to throw it to the girl standing behind me. [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img] I cried all night long! [img]wink.gif[/img]

Seriously,the guys were drunk all night long and didn't have a clue! Worst gig I ever wasted money on!

Some of my first expiriences in the music industry where playing horrible music with bad musicians!.
I just hope that nobody in this forum was there or I'll be present in this tread a few more times [img]wink.gif[/img]

Loverboy, Spring 1986, Roanoke Civic Center.

Actually the Hooters opened up and were excellent. But then Loverboy came on and the energy was gone.
Remember that cruddy "hit" song, Lovin Every Minute of It?--------that song is kinde slow, but they played that song even slower-------it was a death dirge---shitty song played worse live.
Two girls who went with us were asleep in their seats.
Loverboy blew.

Hey, Pedro "mi amigo" - I dont think you have to worry about that around here...after your posting of your playing on that tune in 27 [was it called "Conceptos en Bateria" or something like that?], i dont think ANYONE is gonna say "JACK-SPRATT" to you [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
